Join teachers Anna and Melissa for a fun-filled week exploring all things photography, with nature-inspired art projects woven throughout!
Throughout the week, children will investigate the many ways we can capture abstract perspectives through pattern and color using the camera lens—there are endless possibilities. We plan to visit one art museum (either SFMOMA or the de Young), as well as explore inspiring architectural and natural spaces in Golden Gate Park.
Children will learn basic photography concepts, how to use a camera, and how to observe the world with an artist’s eye. On the final day of camp, each child will curate their favorite photograph, which will be professionally printed in an 8×10 format and delivered approximately two weeks after camp ends.
No prior camera club experience is required. Children must be able to ride the bus and walk safely as a group, following directions and using first-time listening.

Cameras: We have enough digital cameras for each child. Your child can bring their own, and we will do our best to take care of it, but we will not be held responsible if anything happens to it. That goes for our cameras too - you will not be held responsible should something happen to them while your child is using them.
