Join teachers Anna and Melissa for a fun-filled week exploring all things photography, with nature-inspired art projects woven throughout our days.
Our focus this week will be Portrait Photography, learning how to capture people, expressions, and personality through the camera. Children will explore both candid and posed portraits while experimenting with light, background, framing, and perspective. We will visit one art museum (SFMOMA or the de Young) and explore inspiring architectural and natural spaces throughout Golden Gate Park.
Throughout the week, children will learn core photography concepts and how to use a camera. On the final day of camp, each child will curate their top 20 portrait photographs, which will be made into their very own photo book. Books will be ordered and delivered approximately two weeks after camp ends.
No prior Camera Club experience is required. Campers must be able to ride the bus and walk safely while following directions using first-time listening.
